American Durafilm is excited to share that Cavero Coatings, a family-owned company that manufactures high-temperature and high-release powder and water-based coatings has joined our portfolio of surface finishing solutions.
Cavero Coatings does not manufacture a solvent-based coating. Their focus on sustainability and lowering VOCs is evident in their purely water and powder-based options. With so many OEMs feeling pressure to shrink their carbon footprint, Cavero Coatings makes sense as a solution. It allows us to help our customers reach not just their performance goals but their company’s broader mission.
Cavero’s focus is on high-temperature and high-release capabilities in their coatings as well as:
- Corrosion protection
- Abrasion resistance
- Low coefficient of friction
- Dielectric strength
Additionally, their PFAS measures extremely low, providing a more favorable alternative to comparable fluoropolymers for those doing all they can to avoid “forever chemicals.”
While carrying Cavero Coatings is new for American Durafilm, the company itself is not new. Cavero Coatings has over half a century of experience in research and development in the industry. For the last fifteen years, Cavero has been formulating, developing, and manufacturing sustainable, fluoropolymer coatings. That means they have done their due diligence in the market. Their coatings come with a depth of understanding for the problems they solve.
Rated up to 600ºF for powder and higher for liquid coatings
Cavero Coatings offers products that are rated up to 600ºF for powder and higher for liquid coatings. These extremely high temperature ratings allow Cavero Coatings to provide value across a plethora of industries. From automotive to industrial baking, oil and gas, textiles, and even military, Cavero Coatings provides a functional value in their stability at high temperatures to OEMs and end users alike.
Beyond the high-temperature performance, Cavero Coatings also promotes exceptional release properties. Release is in the top two performance demands of coatings. Cavero saw the need for a greener option in the fluoropolymer world that could still deliver on release and filled that gap.
The manufacturing industry is feeling more pressure to be better stewards of the earth. The companies coaters serve are expected to practice and promote environmental responsibility. Demands to deliver on promises to reduce waste and limit contaminants as much as possible are only going to increase as conversations around climate change increase. American Durafilm understands that fulfilling a performance-based need is not always enough anymore. That’s why we have added Cavero Coatings, so that our customers know we are here to support all of their objectives.
Providing multiple solutions under one roof is the Durafilm difference.
